- Go to Gemini Ai Studio, and register an API key

It is strongly recommended to open a credit in Gemini, for more priority and availability - Copy-Paste the API key and store it in an Environment Variable
In the Start menu, type “Environment Variables”
Add a new Environment variable, such as “TECHR_GEMINI_API_KEY” and store your API key here - Restart Techr
- In the Scenario Editor, add a Prompt and press the Configure button
Use your environment variable and choose a model
If you do not know what model to use, Techr recommends “gemini-3.1-flash-lite” for its availability, speed, accuracy and affordability
- The Gemini API key is stored in an Environment Variable to prevent key theft
- Techr warns that Ai can produce different results for each prompt
Some models are very popular and therefore can be throttled or even temporarily deny requests
Therefore, Techr recommends the use of Ai as a Test Authoring tool, rather than a Testing tool
To implement Test Authoring, right-click the Prompt, and select “Execute and Decode” from the menu
